Suite Results

One of the things that makes GrowthForce a "best place to work" is the satisfaction helping small businesses and non-profits make better management decisions. Homewood Suites at Kingwood Parc is an example of how outsourcing the accounting department to GrowthForce helped one franchise owner see significant improvement to his bottom line and his cash flow.

GrowthForce CEO Recognized by Houston CPA Society

GrowthForce founder and CEO Stephen King received the Outstanding Committee Award at the 2007-2008 Houston CPA Society Recognition Awards held May 15. Nancy Rutledge, Executive Director, reported that the Northeast Satellite committee has spearheaded several initiatives in the Kingwood, Humble and Atascocita area. They created an internship program for Kingwood High School accounting students and gave out three $500 scholarships to senior accounting students last year.

King developed a partnership with Lone Star College – Kingwood in which the Dean of Business, Technology and Social Science has become an active participant, attending Northeast Satellite meetings. The group is also working with the Humble ISD to qualify accounting as an Advanced Placement course.

QuickBooks Tip
New Way to Retrieve an Accountant’s Copy

QuickBooks 2008 has simplified the process of how businesses can supply an Accountant’s Copy of a report or document prepared in QuickBooks. A business using QuickBooks 2008 can now send an Accountant's Copy directly to their accountant using an Intuit Web server. Using this feature, they never again have to save the Accountant's Copy file a local disk and manually deliver the Accountant's Copy. The Accountant's Copy file is automatically sent to an Intuit server. The accountant then receives an e-mail with a link that automatically downloads the Accountant's Copy file. The result: numbers in next to no time!
