We've got an invitation to Houston's QuickBooks User Conference and share a QuickBooks tip to a problem that is becoming more common place - what to do if you have data corruption problems. This is the most recent post in our new blog, where we share great lessons learned from serving hundreds of clients at GrowthForce.

The 5 Rules of How to Improve Cash Flow

The Five Rules to Improve Cash Flow GrowthForce has studied the best practices for helping small businesses improve their cash flow and we've summarized them into a new white paper. The five rules are:

  1. Prevent cash flow problems before they happen
Many businesses are not smart about how they go about taking on new clients. If you are not getting paid up front for your services then you are giving your clients a loan. Find out what you should be checking before extending credit to your clients.
  2. Get money faster
Some small business owners often don't want to accept credit cards because of the merchant account fees. For many businesses accepting credit cards is a great return on investment for your business. Find out if you are one of them.
  3. Implement best practices for collections
Small businesses often wait 30 days to initiate a collection call with a past due client. Find out why this is a mistake and how to change the dynamics of the collection process. You will also find out how this will improve your customer service at the same time.
  4. Be ready for collections objections
Another best practice is to arm the person making collection calls with a list of common objections and ways to overcome them. You'll see how to demonstrate that your business is serious about high quality service and also serious about getting paid.
  5. Manage your payroll expenses wisely
Find out how implementing best practices of managing your payroll expenses will help your cash flow.
