Hello {{{first_name}}},
Intuit is receiving reports of individuals receiving fraudulent emails from QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online. The two separate emails ask customers to either download a plug-in to assess their security or download a Digital Certificate. Please delete either of these emails.
As Intuit discovers these fraudulent sites (cyber criminals often use the same email repeatedly, although they change web sites), they take them down. Full details of the phishing email and content can be found here.
As always, if you receive an email message that appears to come from Intuit but that you suspect is a phishing email, please forward it immediately to spoof@intuit.com.
Please visit http://security.intuit.com for additional security information.

Do you dread getting ready for an audit and the tax man? Does preparing for an audit take you away from more valuable business activities? If this is the time of year you start to get your books in line, your taxes and audits are probably more difficult than they need to be. Get organized now because once the auditors show up, it is too late.
With new tighter rules of lending these days, banks are requiring that more and morebusinesses get audited or reviewed annually - a compilation is often not good enough anymore for bank compliance. Therefore, a number of businesses are finding themselves subject to an audit for the first time.
GrowthForce's outsourced bookkeepers and controllers can help your business get ready for an audit or the tax preparer. We help clients prepare the schedules the auditors need, reconcile accounts to get the books clean and organize supporting documents so you are ready when the CPA knocks on the door.

As part of our constant effort to find ways to help our clients beat the recession, here's an interesting cost-saving suggestion.
Wouldn't it be great if you could very simply analyze actual cell phone usage and optimize your calling plans in a manner that saves average subscribers 22% on their bills.
A recent study by Validas found that 80 percent of wireless subscribers pay more for wireless bills than they should, either because of overage charges or overpaying for unused services. Their automated "Cell Phone Saver" works for AT&T Wireless, , Verizon Wireless Sprint (and Nextel), T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular customers.
That study found that the average user could save $662 over the typical two-year cell phone contract from unused, paid minutes and text messages.
